Spurs to Continue Impressive Start

Best Bets:

2 Pts Tottenham to win @ Middlesbrough (21/20 Stan James)

1 Pt Watford to win @ Burnley (17/10 General)

After last weekend’s success, we hope to continue our momentum with more Premier League winners. Let’s get on with the tips!

2 Pts Tottenham to win @ Middlesbrough (21/20 Stan James)

We’ve been waiting in expectation for Spurs to find their form this season and strangely enough that might have come after losing Harry Kane through injury. After struggling to overcome a resilient Sunderland and seeing Kane go down late in that game, Spurs fans might have been worrying about their scoring ability seeing how they’ve mostly struggled to this point. However, the midweek League Cup has seen their other stars step up as both Eriksen and Lamela bagged a brace in a convincing win.

While the win was over lower league opposition in Gillingham and should be taken with a hint of caution, it was still a thumping victory which they will hope has fine-tuned them ahead of the weekend’s league fixture. Any time there are odds of at least evens being offered on a top 4 hopeful against a newly promoted team expected to be battling relegation, it has to be strongly considered and this weekend we hope to profit from this value.

1 Pt Watford to win @ Burnley (17/10 General)

If this game had come in week 1 or 2 of the season, we probably would have avoided this tip. Watford were considered strong relegation candidates and Burnley would be looking at this match at home as one where they could stand a good chance at taking some points in their own battle for survival. What a difference a few weeks can make!

Burnley have gone from beating Liverpool 2-0 in their second game, to their next 3 which included one draw against Hull (1-1) and two 3-0 defeats (granted they were away at Chelsea and Leicester). Meanwhile Watford’s last 3 games saw them lose 3-1 against Arsenal, then go 2-0 down against West Ham before turning things around to finish that game 4-2 winners and follow that up by beating Manchester United 3-1 last weekend.

Watford have lots of momentum and the odds on offer definitely represent value in our eyes.
