League Leaders to Move One Step Closer

Best Bets:

2 Pts Leicester to beat Swansea (4/5 General)

1 Pt Robert Huth Anytime Scorer for Leicester against Swansea (8/1 Betfred)

After witnessing the midweek results, especially the Merseyside derby, it is tempting to lump on Manchester United to end this weekend going to the FA Cup final. It is possible that Everton will produce another dismal display for their fans, but we are going to shy away from the Cup and stick to the league.

It is now the business end of the Premier League season and teams like Newcastle and Sunderland look tempting at high odds as they scrap for survival. The fact that Arsenal are still competing for a top four spot and Liverpool may be trying to snatch 5th, even if only to push rivals United out of that spot, these games are too unpredictable to call, so let’s go all in on the league leaders.

2 Pts on Leicester to beat Swansea (4/5 General)

Many people still don’t believe in Leicester and feel that Tottenham will pip them to the post, with a big doubt over how Leicester will cope this weekend without Vardy. Despite this major setback for Leicester, their desire, passion, commitment and spirit surely won’t be left on the side-lines with Vardy. At odds of nearly even with their home support against a Swansea team that may have already switched off for this term judging from a 3-0 defeat against Newcastle, it seems the best bet out there this weekend.

1 Pt on Robert Huth Anytime Scorer for Leicester against Swansea (8/1 Betfred)

Following on from the idea that Leicester can cope without Vardy but will need to get their goals from somewhere else, what better place to look for value in our second tip than Robert Huth. He has come up with some big performances for them this season and scored a few goals in the process. While not entirely prolific, Leicester have scored a fairly impressive 8 goals at home as a result of set pieces this season and 18 in total, while being one of few teams in the league that will put the ball into the box more often than taking the short option when given the chance from a dead ball. They have great quality from set pieces and after seeing 2 Newcastle goals coming from corners, it is very possible that Leicester can use set pieces as an avenue of unrest for the Swansea defence.
