The arrival of Benitez hasn’t had the impact the board would have wanted, but two respectable performances have left them with hope going into this week. In their last fixture Newcastle secured an important point at home to Sunderland with a strong second half performance. A late equaliser had St James’s buzzing and this is something that the Magpies will be looking to build on going into this weekend. Norwich on the other hand managed to secure an away win in their last outing against West Brom, but this was their first bit of success in a long time against a team that didn’t have much to play for. Norwich have struggled under pressure at home this season and haven’t secured a home win in the last five attempts. They really could struggle against a determined Newcastle this week, which look to have a bit more quality than Norwich possess.
