Comfortable Wins For Spurs and City

Best Bets:

1.5 Pts on Spurs (-1 handicap) to win @ Villa (7/5 Paddy Power)

1.5 Pts on Man City (-1 handicap) to win v Norwich (13/8 Sky Bet)

1 Pt on Max Gradel (Anytime Scorer) v Swansea (19/5 Bet Victor)

Coming off the back of a strong week for Boston Gambler with wins on both our Premier League picks, we want to keep this run going. A shortened EPL fixture list due to FA Cup matches limits our choices, but there is still good value to be had out there!

1.5 Pts on Spurs (-1 handicap) to win @ Villa (7/5 Paddy Power)

With the top two in the league facing teams in the bottom three, Spurs will look to take advantage of their slightly more favourable matchup against potentially the worst team that the Premier League has ever seen. Aston Villa have shown hardly any glimpses of life this season and time is fast running out on their status as one of the league’s mainstays. Spurs could well land a thumping win at Villa Park and will want to continue to push Leicester’s nerves by further increasing their superior goal difference. With Harry Kane in form and input from elsewhere, Spurs being away does not deter us from this bet. They’ve scored 24 in 14 away this season for a +12 goal difference, with Villa having conceded 23 in their 14 home games, resulting in a -12 goal difference. The over evens odds for a Spurs -1 handicap win seem too good to pass up on.

1.5 Pts on Man City (-1 handicap) to win v Norwich (13/8 Sky Bet)

Much like the top 2, Manchester City will want to take advantage of what appears a one-sided matchup against a severely struggling Norwich side. Their slide continued as they lost at Swansea and having conceded 32 goals in 15 away games this season, heading to the Etihad where City have scored 39 in 15 is sure to have their defenders seeing some restless nights before Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off. Aguero is back near his best, the team have won a trophy and look fairly comfortable ahead of their Champions League second leg tie. They should be fully focussed in this round of the Premier League and take advantage at their fortress of a home ground by taking a comfortable win even given a -1 handicap.

1 Pt on Max Gradel (Anytime Scorer) v Swansea (19/5 Bet Victor)

Our final bet on this week’s footy is good odds on an anytime goal from Gradel. Bournemouth’s season has been up and down, looking impressive early on before struggling for a while and slipping towards the drop zone. It is not hard to see that the loss of Wilson and Gradel to long term knee injuries coincided with that slump in their form and results. Recently they have impressed once more and a large part of that is down to Gradel being back on the pitch. He has looked sharp in the past 2 games, creating chances for teammates, while also looking a threat himself. If Bournemouth are to continue their push away from the drop, he will need to continue inspiring his team in the attacking third and this may well be the week to see him on the scoresheet.
