1.25 Pts on Leicester to win @ Watford (6/4 General)

1.25 Pts on Swansea to win v Norwich (Evens Bet Victor)

After a frantic midweek schedule we saw Liverpool get revenge against Manchester City. We saw the title contenders fail to take advantage of Leicester losing 2 points at home to West Brom, as Arsenal continued their yearly collapse and a rare defeat for Spurs as West Ham marched on in pursuit of a European spot in the league. Manchester United upped their push for a top 4 place as other results went their way and it will be interesting to see how all of these teams go forward in their weekend fixtures.

Leicester will want to make up Tuesday’s draw with West Brom. Many will want to jump onto that result as being the start of the end for Leicester at the top of the league, yet the failure of anyone else to capitalize actually means that they pulled an extra point away and that will give them a great boost. After reaching somewhere around the middle of the season with one of the strongest home records, Watford have slipped to a mid-table record both home and away, while Leicester continue to be the league’s pacesetters away from home. Despite only losing 2 of their last 8, Watford’s 2016 start has been quite inconsistent and they have lost 5 of 12 since the turn of the year. We feel this is enough to give Leicester the edge as they have taken an impressive 18 from 27 points in 2016, but look to get their title push back on track after unexpectedly dropping 2 midweek.

Norwich have endured a horrid run since Christmas, as despite ending 2015 and starting 2016 with wins, they then lost 6 straight, drew one and have now lost their last 2. In the 12 games since Christmas day they have scored 11 goals, with 4 coming in their loss against Liverpool. As well as the 5 conceded that game, they have conceded another 22. Since mid-January Swansea have lost 2 of their 7 league matches. Those defeats were no disgrace against 2 of the league’s most in-form teams in Southampton and Spurs. With not only Swansea’s win at Arsenal, but also the inspired performances of Ayew and then Sigurdsson coming off the bench, the Welsh club will be hoping that this is the start of another run similar to that which saw them take 8 points from a possible 12 between mid-January and mid-February, a much needed run that would steer them to safety from the drop. At evens, this seems too good to ignore.
