Best Bets:

1.5 Pts on Chelsea to win to Nil v West Brom (23/20 Bet Victor)

0.5 Pts on Liverpool v Arsenal – Arsenal to win both halves (8/1 Coral)

Our first Premier League piece after the festive period sees an intriguing set of midweek matches. Whist many fixtures have firm favourites, we have our doubts over just how reliable these teams will be. Newcastle host Manchester United where it wouldn’t surprise us to see Wijnaldum threaten for the home side as the Red Devils have looked vulnerable preventing opposition midfielders from finding the scoresheet of late. Sunderland could upset the Swans in Wales and Villa may even find 1 or more much needed points at home against Crystal Palace.

1 Pt on Chelsea v West Brom – Chelsea to win both halves (12/5 Coral)

Our first pick looks at last year’s champions who seem to be finding their form again under new leadership. Certain players are beginning to step up to the mark and we feel that this positive trend could continue. If they are to push towards challenging for a European spot in the league, this game will be a marker where they will want to make a statement. We think that Chelsea could dominate this game and could quite easily win both halves.

1.5 Pts on Chelsea to win to Nil v West Brom (23/20 Bet Victor)

Continuing with the Chelsea resurgence, we have to highlight that their defence has stepped up in recent weeks. West Brom are not exactly firing on all cylinders in front of goal and the ongoing Berahino saga only hurts their attacking ability. Therefore odds over even seem quite generous here for Chelsea to win to nil.

0.5 Pts on Liverpool v Arsenal – Arsenal to win both halves (8/1 Coral)

Our final pick looks at Wednesday night’s live game, with Liverpool hosting Arsenal. Arsenal are continuing to show that this could be their year, despite the slip up against Southampton. Their defence is back to looking solid and having reached the clean sheet record, Cech does not have that on his mind any more. Liverpool are still struggling to score and with a number of key injuries such as Coutinho, this could end as a comfortable away win for Arsenal.
