2.5 Pts Bengals to beat Cardinals 17/10 (Bet 365)
Week 10 threw up some major upsets in the NFL. There were losses for the Packers, Bengals and Broncos which not many would have predicted. For week 11 we are siding with the Bengals who go into a marquee matchup against the Cardinals as underdogs. This match is the standout fixture this weekend and could even be an early Super Bowl 50 preview for the fans.
The Bengals go in to this matchup with an 8-1 record whereas the Cardinals sit at 7-2 showing the class of these two teams. The Cards managed to beat the Seahawks in week 10 in a primetime match whereas the Bengals lost to the Texans on Monday night. The Bengals were 10 point favourites for their matchup against the Texans so the loss was shock to all involved, apart from maybe JJ Watt who was somewhat animated at the games conclusion. It was after the match that JJ took a swipe at Andy Dalton saying they made him look like a Red Ryder BB gun. Safe to say Dalton will be fired up this week in another TV match and will be looking to put things right.
We like the Bengals this week for a few reasons. Although the Bengals offence wasn’t firing in week 10, it has been great for the rest of the season. The Bengals averaged close to 30 points in their first eight games. Also their defence was outstanding on Monday, holding the Texans to 10 points. The defence will have to be great again against the Cards to stop their outstanding offence, but we expect their solid form to continue.
Eifert and Green had a few drops and a fumble that aren’t characteristic of their usual play and these key players will be looking to bounce back in style this weekend. They have been great in the first eight games so there is no reason to panic after a loss to Houston.
Although we are tipping the Bengals we aren’t completely writing off the Cards who have also been great this season. Palmer has been fantastic for Arizona throwing for a massive amount of yards regularly. The 13th year Vet is well on his way to setting some career highs this season and is a contender in the MVP race. What we are saying however, is that the Bengals shouldn’t be this long and the 17/10 best price available represents fantastic value!
