Best Bet:
3 Pts on Packers (-10.5 Handicap) to beat Lions 10/11 (Sky Bet)
Week 9 was another successful week for Boston Gambler in our NFL Tips and we are looking to make it three weekends of profit in a row. Week 9 showed the Bengals are here to stay this year with another solid performance from Dalton. The Patriots also rolled out to a solid win which have them as clear frontrunners in everyone’s eyes.
This week we are going with what looks like a standout option. We expect the Packers to bounce back strong against a poor Lions side. The Packers have lost their last two games and the handicap looks too kind for the Packers who will be spurred on by home support.
Our Tip:
3 Pts on Packers (-10.5 Handicap) to beat Lions 10/11 (Sky Bet)
As we said above the Packers have lost their last two games. Importantly this was against high quality opposition of Denver and Carolina who both played extremely well against the misfiring Packers on the day. Don’t expect this Packers loss streak to continue this week. Also don’t expect Rogers to miss another open touchdown pass under pressure in the near future. Rogers took the blame on his own shoulders after the Carolina loss, and will be looking for a flawless performance in this one against a poor pass defence.
The Packers matchup against the Lions this week and will be keen to use the advantage of home field support. This match is exactly what they need to turn things around. They need this win at all costs with the Vikings now keeping up pace in NFC North giving them further incentive to run riot against this weak Detroit team. A lot of people have overreacted to the Packers slide, but a game against the 1-7 Lions is exactly the sort of game where the Packers are likely to run up a huge win margin in response.
We think the bookies have been too generous with the handicap in this mismatch. The Lions will likely be overwhelmed by Rogers and the Packers offence. Look for them to cover the 10.5 handicap this week, which looks like value in our eyes.
