Week 8 in the NFL serves up some great matchups with the Packers facing the Broncos and the Colts facing the Panthers. There were some appealing options available, but there was one standout selection this week that looks great value. We are siding with the Minnesota Vikings to beat the Chicago Bears in a NFC North Matchup.

Our Tips:

2 Pts on Minnesota Vikings to beat Chicago Bears (20/23 Paddy Power)

1 Pt on Minnesota Vikings (-10 Handicap) to beat Chicago Bears (3/1 Bet 365)

The Vikings have now won their last two games with a strong second half performance against the Lions in week 7. This win was important for the Vikings as it proved to other teams in the league that they could win on the road. They go to Chicago this week hoping to continue their winning streak against a Bears team that has struggled this season. It is unlikely that the Vikings can challenge the Packers for the NFC North title but they will be looking for the win to improve their wildcard spot credentials.

The spread for this match is around 1.5 points which looks far too skinny. The Vikings have far more talent and knowhow than the Bears and we think they should cover this handicap with relative ease. Furthermore the Bears are already in a position where it looks like they have nothing to play for, whereas the Vikings need to win this game in order to challenge for the wildcard spot. Bridgewater is coming off a >300 yard game with two TD throws and no interceptions so will clearly be feeling confident. He also completed passes to 11 different receivers showing the strength in depth that the Vikings possess.

We think the Vikings will win this road match. We also think there is a strong chance that they win this game with ease and 3/1 on the 10 point handicap looks generous.
